Navarino Greek House is a detached 65-square-metre house in Vromonéri, in the Messinian countryside. It is painted in the traditional colours, white walls and Hellenic blue shutters, and stands in an olive grove with fruit trees.
Two bedrooms sleep up to six people. Outside there is the porch, the barbecue area and a Jacuzzi for six; inside, a fully equipped kitchen, 5G Wi-Fi and a sound system you control from an app, indoors and in the garden.
Marathopoli and the sea are five kilometres away, Voidokilia bay eight, Pylos a twenty-minute drive. The right base for those who want the Ionian coast by day and the quiet of the countryside at night.
“It is not just a holiday: it is living Greece between the sea and the olive trees.”

the roomsRooms
Two rooms, bookable separately.
Each has a double bed and a single bed, air conditioning and insect screens, for up to three guests. Together they make up the whole house, up to six people.
A spacious room furnished in white and blue, with a double bed, a single bed and a 55-inch Smart TV with soundbar. Air-conditioned, with insect screens: comfort and privacy for families or couples.
A cosy double bedroom with an extra single bed, finished in authentic Greek style and looking out onto the green of the olive grove. Air-conditioned, with insect screens, for a quiet night’s sleep for up to 3 people.
The house is surrounded by our olive grove: the very trees whose olives become the extra virgin olive oil and the natural soap you find in the house. A family production, in small batches, made here in Vromonéri.
It is the simplest way we have of giving you a taste of Messinia: nothing industrial, just what the grove gives each year.
Extra virgin olive oil
From olives picked on the trees around the house. We leave it in the kitchen for you to use during your stay.
Olive oil soap
Made with the same oil, gentle on the skin and free of synthetic fragrances. You will find it in the bathroom, ready to use.

In autumn, when the harvest begins in the surrounding fields, you understand what it means to live among the olives: nets spread under the trees, full crates, vans heading down to the mills.

chapter fourThe experience
Four details, one whole holiday.
These are the things you actually use every day: from breakfast in the shade of the olive trees to the evening barbecue.
i.The Jacuzzi in the garden. An outdoor hot tub for six people, surrounded by olive trees: after the beach or under the stars.
ii.Barbecue among the olives. The barbecue area in the garden, the porch with its table and the olive grove and orchard all around: where most of the day is spent.
iii.Home comforts. 5G Wi-Fi outdoors too, a 55-inch Smart TV with soundbar, an app-controlled sound system inside and out, air conditioning and insect screens on every window.
iv.The location. Marathopoli five kilometres away, Voidokilia eight, Navarino Castle ten, the Palace of Nestor eleven. Pylos is a twenty-minute drive.
For the beach there are umbrellas, sun loungers and beach gear; for the way back, the outdoor shower. The washing machine makes longer stays easy too.
“In the evening, all you hear here are the cicadas and the wind in the olive trees.”
